Installing the right browser

1. Before you begin, it’s important to install the right browser for website updates.

2. We recommend Firefox as it is faster and more stable compared to browsers like Internet Explorer 6. The OpenCms content editors are optimized for Firefox particularly.

3. Install Firefox here.

4. You can also use Firefox for general internet browsing and import your existing favourites from other browsers like Internet Explorer.

5. If you are unable to install Firefox, we recommend Google Chrome. Google Chrome is limited in editing image properties in OpenCms (such as dragging image corners to resize them), but works fine for general content updates.
